Here are the RPing rules:
Characters
1. Create a believable character. No one likes Mary Sues (aka: A perfect, flawless character). You can pick a free canon character. Signups will be under “Profile” then “Canon Characters”
2. Do not RP with a character before I accept them. I’m not going to explain this rule.
3. Follow the template for a Canon or OC. It is MUCH easier to accept. [EDIT: I know it is a long form. Deal with it. This is to help character development. I will not accept a form where you do not use the format I have ok-ed. Thanks
4. I am pretty lax with the ideas of looks. But, please, be realistic. There is not going to be a blonde, blue eyed firebending master. Try to stay within the looks created by Mike and Bryan. (to an extent. I allow most everything that isn’t utterly ridiculous. Also, no oddly-colored hair. Like, no BRIGHT blue or green hair. Thanks
Bending and the Avatar World
5. Airbenders are, for the most part, not allowed. Because they were all wiped out. If you ARE going to make an airbender OC (which I will, TENTATIVELY) allow, explain in the profile submission why you should be an exeption.
6. Not every bender is a master. Or even close. When you sign up your character, keep that in mind. The levels of experience you can use are beginner (basic-level), intermediate (some higher-level techniques), and advanced. Advanced is going to be popular, because, honestly, who wants to RP with a weakling? However, please keep in mind that if there become too many advanced benders (benders with the power of someone like the main characters), I will limit it, and I will only allow a FEW advanced. Prodigies are people like Katara, who are under 20 and a highly skilled bender. I only want to see a few of these, too.
7. Waterbenders from the southern tribe are supposed to be almost nonexistent at the time that Katara and Sokka lived there. If you want a waterbender, make him or her from a small tribe, the swamp, the north, or you can make them young enough to not have known about their abilities at the time of the pilot episode.
8. Try to limit the benders. Some of the coolest characters on this show are not benders. (ex: Mai, Ty Lee, Momo, Suki)
9. Not everyone has a friendship with the main characters. Guessing that there are about 1million people in the Avatar world, not EVERYONE will have seen (or trained with, or grown up with, or loved) the main characters (especially Aang). You can be searching for the BoomerAang group, but you cannot start off with them.
The Plot
10. The plot takes place in an Avatar world, with technology that is found there. Have you seen cars or tvs or guns in Avatar? I think not, so please don’t include that.
11. Stay with your character’s loyalty. If your character is Azula, you’re not going to suddenly take a happy pill and become all “I <3 the Earth Nation ^-^,” right? That would mess with the plot. OC’s have more leeway with this, though.
12. Battles are encouraged
RPing in general
13. stick to the rules (politeness, grammer)
14. be realistic.
15. No spamming. Try to limit double-posting (posting more than once at a time), please.
16. Limit the Mushy Romance part to the Romance section. If I see anything beyond kissing in the normal boards, I will move the board to the Romance section. (btw… the Romance section is not supposed to even be THAT graphic. Keep it to a LOW)
17. Once again, keep descriptions to a low. This includes both romantic scenes AND battles. I don’t want blood spurting a mile high, okay? PG-13 rated. Like, AVATAR battles.
18. Style is narrative “Ex: Katara pushed Sokka off of a cliff.” Or whatever. Also, NO ONE LINERS! Add something to the discussion. One-liners will be edited to have more info by a staff member, and will then add something. EVEN IF YOU DON’T LIKE IT.
